Notice on the adjustments of testing requirements for all China-bound passengers

Passengers who travel on and after November 14, 2022 are kindly required to read and follow the updated instructions to apply heath code.  

1.Testing requirements

(1)All China-bound passengers are required to take one nucleic acid test within 48 hours before departure of the final flight to China. There is no direct flight from Malawi to China. Passengers may choose to take the nucleic acid test either in Malawi or at the transit place. Passengers shall apply for a health code to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate where the nucleic acid test is taken. Please ensure your health code remains valid before departure of your final flight to China.

Upon receiving the reports, passengers can apply for health code at https://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/. 

(2)Passengers who have COVID-19 infection history, close contact or suspected symptoms, can now apply for health code with negative nucleic acid test result taken within 48 hours before departure of your final flight to China.

2.The following documents are required to be uploaded for health code application: 

(1)Passport.

(2)Chinese visa or residence permit.

(3)Flight itinerary.

(4)Nucleic acid test report.

In the event of any inconsistency between the previously released information and this notice, this notice shall prevail.
